Parents attended a meeting which outlined an itinerary of the trip to France. Parents/carers were provided with clearer outline of each part of the trip with an itinerary and the risk assessments that have taken place.

Staff meeting to discuss information in the One Drive share folder. Discuss the photos/ videos of the pre-visit including menus, maps, copies of the risk assessments and itineraries. Discuss areas of concern for the trip and items that will be implemented to reduce the levels of risk.

07-05-22 – 09-05-2022 Pre Visit

Bryn Taylor and Sarah Edgar took part in a pre visit risk assessment trip. This trip was carried out alongside Wingrove Primary School who are also visiting Nancy. This trip mirrors the visit in June 2022. Trains and Eurostar used to arrive in Nancy. Hotel used for accommodation and time spent in Marcel Leroy. As part of the trip time was spent in Paris to arrange locations on the visit. The Bateaux Mouches will be utilised to enable children to see the majority of the sites.

Today St Paul’s welcomed the Mayor of Nancy to our school. As part of our international school’s partnership with Marcel Leroy, the Mayor or Nancy made a visit to meet our children and welcome them to the Nancy Town Hall in June 2022

Met with Sarah Edgar and staff from WIngrove to discuss mobility project. Discussed the use of transport and issued regarding travel documentation. Agreed to the use of a group passport to reduce level of paperwork taken on the trip.

Today St Paul’s welcomed Caroline Remont and Deborah Keeton as part of the international mobility project. Both Caroline and Deborah are teachers in Nancy, France and visited the school are part of our partnership. Year Six were lucky enough to benefit from a lesson delivered by both teachers on their visit.

Zoom meeting with Aurelie Klien to discuss inks with school. Confirmes that Marcel Leroy has 9 classes who learn English. Agreed that it would be good to start link work using Teams to help children to communicate. We discussed project ideas including Christmas cards, sharing recipes and the work that will take place on the mobility task. We have discussed the possibility of exploring the architecture (Nancy birthplace of art nouveau) as well as taking part in a mini olypic games and cooking together.
